Cette variété correspond à une mutation de grenache noir, dont elle partage des caractéristiques très diverses : sensible aux sols humides, très résistante à la sécheresse, et en moindre mesure, au vent.
Les vins à base de grenache blanc sont de couleur jaune-vert, avec du corps et une acidité moyenne, ce qui en fait un cépage idéal autant pour les vins d’assemblage que pour les mono cépages. Leur intensité aromatique est moyenne et possède des notes florales,végétales et fruitées. Ils ont un taux d’alcool élevé et sont sensibles à l’oxydation.
Elle est utilisée pour la production des vins doux et des Rancios – plutôt consommés en vins de dessert.

Fish rice, mixed or oriental. Any of them is a good option to pair it with Garnacha Blanca (White). Also, it combines perfectly with fish, especially whitefish. In addition, melted cheeses and rice and pasta salads are perfect to enjoy Garnacha Blanca (White).
